There are several visa options under the General Skilled Migration program for skilled workers who want to live in Australia and who do not have an employer sponsoring them. These include options for skilled people applying as an independent migrant as well as those sponsored by a relative, or State or Territory government.
- Independent Migrant
Independent migrants have the least number of restrictions placed on them and this is the preferred option for eligible applicants who do not have an employer to sponsor them.
- Sponsored Migrant
Sponsorship by an eligible relative, State, or Territory.

After passing our Free Online Visa Assessment and retaining our services, we begin our full representation, which we continue throughout the entire visa process, allowing our clients the freedom to focus on the excitement of immigrating.
Our Professional Fee:
$1,977.00 USD
No hourly billing. Australian Visas Now has a flat fee pricing structure and online invoicing. Installment payment plans are available for this visa package. All major credit cards, Paypal, and bank transfers are accepted. Checks drawn on US bank accounts are accepted.
Australian Government Fees:
All Skilled Visa Categories
- $2,525.00 AUD, if the applicant is outside Australia at the time of application. Additional fees may be charged for included dependents aged 18 years or over, with less than functional English.
Other Expenses:
Applicants will be required to complete a medical exam and to produce police clearances. Applicants may be required to complete an English language exam. Applicants may also need to have certain personal documents translated into English or certified.
- Skills Assessment Fees: These fees vary, but most government skills assessing authorities charge approximately $350.00 – $650.00 AUD. These fees are payable to the appropriate government skills assessing authority.
- IELTS (English Language) Exam: $250.00 USD (approximately), per person. This fee is payable to the testing provider.
- Medical Exam: $190.00 USD (approximately), per person. This fee is payable to the doctor conducting the examination.
- Police/Penal Clearances: These fees vary, but most government authorities charge approximately $25.00 – $50.00 USD, per person.
- Translation of Documents: These fees vary, but most certified translators charge approximately $25.00 – $45.00 USD per page that is translated. These fees are payable to the person responsible for translating these documents.
- Certification of Documents: These fees vary from country to country. These fees are payable to the person responsible for certifying the documents. As attorneys, solicitors, notaries, and Registered Migration Agents, we can usually certify a client’s personal documents at no additional charge, as an added value client service.
